Localized BES Installation Folders Now Available! (Version 6.0.8.5) Localized version 6.0 of the BigFix Enterprise Suite is now available!

The localized BES 6.0.8 components are fully compatible with earlier BES 6.0.x components, so the BES Server, Web Reports, Relays, and Consoles can be upgraded in any order. The product has been localized for Korean and Simplified Chinese and will auto-detect the localization to use based on the regional settings of the computer in question.

You may upgrade the installation folders (by default, these folders are created at "C:\BES Installers") to install BES 6.0.8.5 components so that all further installations of the BES Server, BES Client, and BES Console will be the latest localized version.

Note: BigFix recommends that you run this upgrade targeted to "All Computers" rather than to "Specific Computers" so that all old BES Clients will get upgraded.

Important Note: If the BES Console is open while the BES Server upgrade installer is running, the user may experience an error or a dialog that asks the user to shut down the BES Console. The user would have to exit the BES Console, and then re-open the BES Console again after the upgrade has completed on the BES Server. Please deploy this action at a time when this service interruption is acceptable.

Important Note: If you are using database replication on the BES database, you must disable the replication before upgrading the BES Server.
